The Application Process

One of our core values at Carousel is Agility and that means we keep things simple. Your exact journey through our recruitment process will depend on a number of variables; for example, location and type of role. Our core aim however, as part of this process, is get to know each other better and understand how we can both achieve great things. While not everyone will go through every one of these steps, we hope it gives you a bit of an idea of what to expect.

  • CV submission

    Has one of our vacancies grabbed your interest? If you'd like to apply, then please send your CV, together with a covering letter, outlining the role you are interested in, and why you’d be a great edition to Team Carousel. The email address to send it to is: You will receive a quick automatic response, letting you know we have your details, and then a member of our People Team will contact you directly.

  • Telephone screening

    We think of this stage as a ‘getting to know you’ conversation rather than a formal interview. In this 30-minute call we will explore your motivations, interests, key strengths and delve lightly into the role requirements.

  • Face-to-face interview

    If all goes well in the telephone screening, we’ll invite you to a face-to-face interview with a member of our People Team and the recruiting manager. This is a more in-depth conversation where we will explore your key skills, experience and is a great opportunity to show us how you can really deliver against the key responsibilities of the role. And don’t forget, this is also your opportunity to find out more about us, so come prepared with some questions!

  • Assessment centre

    For some positions, you will be invited to an assessment centre. Each assessment centre is different, but you can expect it to be based around team exercises, practical challenges and conversations with members of our senior management team. It might sound daunting, but trust us it's actually really fun!

  • Presentations

    If you’ve impressed at interview stage, and depending on the role, we could ask you back to meet senior colleagues and deliver a presentation focusing on a key deliverable for the role or a live business issue. Don’t worry, we know it’s not everybody’s favourite thing, so we will provide a full brief and plenty of time for you to prepare.

  • Onboarding

    The final stage, and the one we really enjoy is on-boarding our new talent. Should you be successful through the process, you will receive a written employment contract and a variety of other documents to sign via email. We will then begin to plan your personalised induction programme – designed to give you the very best start to your Carousel journey.
