Airside Manager (BHXA)
Hours: 19:00pm – 03:00am, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Location: Birmingham Airport
Key Criteria/ Requirements:
Ensure KPI’s and service levels are consistently achieved by supervising and utilising staff available.
Loading and unloading Aircraft ensuring all service times are met.
Strong people skills to support the night operation team and be the point of contact between the different areas of the business and Management.
Ability to follow and instruct others in standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, timely logical manner, ensuring compliance with Air and Network (Internal targets).
Ability to work at pace and understand written English (numbers and words).
Providing basic training in Airside and Security compliance ensuring that targets are met.
Ensure that all Health and Safety, company regulations and Regulatory obligations are met, including Birmingham Airport Bylaws & other aviation authorities.
Supervise the operational areas Airside as required to ensure that the business needs are met and work to achieve this is carried out in an effective, safe and compliant professional manner.
Proactively promote a culture of safe working practices and ensure all members of staff comply with H&S regulations.
Act as key liaison between the night operations teams and import/export brokerage and night operations teams.
Hands on approach to supervising the teams (as and when required)
Ability to train and understand the supervised areas.
Supervise the operational areas to ensure they run efficiently, and tasks are completed on time and accurately in relation to the workflow requirements to despatch the freight on time.
Comply with company policies and legal and regulatory guidelines, including all Birmingham Airport Bylaws and training requirements.
Airside operations – 100% accuracy
Warehouse /Brokerage operations – 100% accuracy
Screening operations – 100% accuracy
Dangerous Goods – 100% accuracy
