Community Playthings classroom transformation
Our client, Community Playthings is a global leader in manufacturing high-quality furniture and play equipment for primary schools and early years settings. The company has been creating these beautiful learning environments for over 50 years and we’ve had the privilege of being their logistics partner for more than two decades.
We provide a ‘just in time’ supply chain solution for Community Playthings across Europe. This begins with the management of raw material from across Europe, including Lithuania, into a dedicated Carousel facility for Community Playthings in the UK. On a daily basis we replenish the two factories on a just in time basis. We then collect the finished products, store them until such time we need to fulfil an order. Managing in excess of 750,000 items a year, accuracy and control is paramount to success, as is the final delivery mile.
Delivering into school takes care and attention and we offer a variety of options to fulfil these needs. These include project management; i.e. the install of a complete classroom including liaison with school contacts, erection of furniture, removal of packaging and recycling.
