Hyundai Mobis renews contract with Carousel

Hyundai Mobis renews contract with Carousel for its spare part logistics and aftermarket service.

Hyundai Mobis Parts Europe – has renewed its contract with Carousel Logistics. The contract covers all Hyundai Mobis’ deliveries for Southern Ireland.

As the company’s lead logistics partner in Ireland, Carousel will continue to handle Hyundai Mobis’ final mile deliveries and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) orders across the country. The companies have worked together since 2017.

The solution
Transporting parts from Hyundai Mobis’ Distribution Centre in Tamworth, UK, Carousel’s solution comprises of two distribution flows.  Genuine parts and accessories are distributed to authorised Kia dealers across the country – via a range of flexible final mile options – while VOR orders are sent directly to the Hyundai distributor in Ireland.    

Parts and accessories are collected daily by road from Hyundai Mobis’ UK Distribution Centre at 3pm and arrive into Dublin, by ferry, early the next morning. On arrival into Dublin, Carousel sorts and consolidates the shipments before completing the final mile; injecting consignments directly into its By:NIGHT network. Using a pre-approved key management system, parts are delivered securely into unmanned dealerships, pre-breakfast, ready for early morning collection.

This agile, tech-enabled solution flexes to the needs of Hyundai Mobis and its customers. For example, in peak periods Carousel can upgrade to an air-connect solution, to speed-up deliveries, prevent delays and ensure key SLAs are consistently met.  Additional support is also available to Hyundai Mobis via Carousel’s in-house Client Services Team.
