The DANX Carousel Foundation
As a logistics group, we want to make a positive difference in our local communities through engagement and inclusion. We believe that it is important to give back to the communities we serve and are committed to driving societal change through the means and channels we have. To make an effective, positive impact on the communities we operate in, we established the DANX Carousel Foundation in 2023.
The Purpose
The purpose of the DANX Carousel Foundation is to support projects and activities based on the DANX Carousel group’s three company values: Caring, Learning, and Ownership – with a particular emphasis on the former two.
The foundation’s focus is primarily on supporting learning and development initiatives as well as charitable causes and local projects in the communities where the companies of the DANX Carousel group operate.
Learning and development
As a company, we rely on people and our many talented and dedicated employees are the foundation of our success. Providing quality education and training to enable learning and development is something we see as vital – and we want to invest in our people and increase the accessibility of this for as many as we can.
Learning is a core company value, and it is our goal to ensure equal access to relevant and valuable opportunities for all our employees, regardless of function or role. Through the DANX Carousel Foundation, we invest in both internal and external training as well as supporting learning and development in the local communities.
The learning and development opportunities that the foundation supports internally can be directly related to the specific role of the employee. However, it can also be training that serves as a steppingstone for the employee to develop into a new role. The foundation also endorses external talents under the following criteria:
- Professionals directly linked to DANX Carousel employees through family
- Individuals working within the logistics industry, or
- Are connected to DANX Carousel as subcontractors/independent hauliers
Community support and donations
As a European logistics specialist that operates extensively across the continent, we are naturally eager to support our local communities and give back to our people.
Besides providing funds for different forms of learning and development, the DANX Carousel Foundation also advocates for charitable causes and local projects in the various communities in which we operate.
The foundation focuses on promoting relevant causes within i.e. diversity and inclusion and positive social impact – aligning this with our value of ‘Caring’ as well as our work with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. On this basis, the foundation selects one larger charity to partner with yearly.
Moreover, we enable our employees to engage directly with charitable causes important to them by encouraging them to dedicate one workday to their charity of choice every year.
How to apply for funds
The DANX Carousel Foundation is run by its elected Board which meets every quarter, to discuss and choose new projects and charities to endorse. Funds are released in January, April, July, and October. All external applications must have a DANX Carousel sponsor. You can find more information and apply through the application form.
