Carousel gets John Deere’s Highest Supplier Rating for the fourth time
The John Deere Partner Status is the highest rating that can be awarded to suppliers by the internationally distinguished brand.
John Deere commended Carousel acknowledging the specialist’s dedication to consistently providing outstanding logistics solutions, underpinned by industry-leading technology. Carousel’s proprietary data platform ensures seamless data flows between all stakeholders and facilitates agile end-to-end solutions supporting the company in its goal to become a ‘connected support’ leader within the AgriTech industry.
John Deere also commended Carousel for its collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement – supporting the world-leading manufacturer in its wider European strategy.
As part of the process, Carousel was assessed against five key categories which were:
- Operational Execution
As a key part of the John Deere supply chain, Carousel services all postcodes and regions within the UK and Ireland. Its solution ensures that irrespective of size or weight, deliveries get where they need to be on time. This involves collecting from Southern Germany and Langar up to 8pm and delivering, often to the very remote extremities of the UK, by 8am the next morning.
Carousel’s Strategic Relationship Director, Michael Martin, collected the award at the ‘John Deere 2019 Achieving Excellence Conference’ in Germany earlier this year. The award was presented by David Meyer Vice President Global Supply Management & Logistics.

Carousel and John Deere
Carousel has worked with John Deere for eight years handling its time critical and in night dealer deliveries in remote areas across the UK and Ireland. During this time, it has delivered consistently high service levels, including exceptional on-time delivery rates and a reduction in average delivery time overall.
In 2016 Carousel announced the extension of a new parts contract with John Deere. This contract utilises Carousel’s By:NIGHT service, and ensures John Deere’s customers get essential parts delivered throughout the night, at agreed specified times.
About the award
Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence Program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
